Shame on the city of Pittsburgh Public Works. After the City asked both the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon to close for three days so roads could be cleared, the main roads from Squirrel Hill to Oakland were in a state of neglect. It really makes one wonder what Public Works has been doing for the past six days. Yes, we did get a second snow of around six or seven inches, but there was no excuse for the state of streets. Plenty of excuses were made: cars parked on the sides of the road, so much snow, etc. But when people outside city limits had clear, wet streets, and main roads were still snow covered in Pittsburgh, you have to wonder.
