The snow eventually stopped and snow totals were 21.5 inches in the Pittsburgh area. That makes the snow amount the fourth highest in Pittsburgh history. Well, recorded history. The Blizzard of ’93 is in third place with around 25 inches. The 21.5 inches were dumped in less than 24 hours, which is amazing.
