The Daily Bongo

Sudoku

Sudoku is a very fun and addictive puzzle. The rules are simple. You have a 9 x 9 box that is broken into nine 3x3 boxes. The goal of the game is to use the numbers 1 through 9 without duplication in each 3x3 box AND in each line that goes down or across in the 9x9 box. When you get the puzzle, some of the blocks are filled in with numbers and some are empty. Your goal is to fill in the empty boxes with the right number. Sometimes it can take awhile, and you might make a mistake which you don't realize until you run into a situation where there are two of the same numbers in the same line. The game is addictive and I do around two to three puzzles a day. Depending on how many numbers are given in the puzzle, and their placement, the game can be easy or difficult. I have my own way of solving the puzzles. First I see if there are any numbers that show up alot in the 3x3 boxes, and see if I can fill those numbers into other boxes that don't have the number. At the same time, I try to keep track of the lines to see what numbers are missing from the line and if they already exist in the box or not.
